Different manual techniques are used to reduce pain and normalize spinal function.
Physiotherapy is a science-based healthcare profession which views movement as central to health and wellbeing. Physiotherapists aim to identify and make the most of movement ability by health promotion, preventive advice, treatment and rehabilitation. Chartered physiotherapists work with a broad variety of physical problems, especially those associated with the neuromuscular, musculoskeletal, cardiovascular and respiratory systems.
Massage has existed in many forms and varieties for over thousands of years. A massage therapist’s job is to relieve tension in the muscle tissue. Tension is usually caused by poor posture, static repetitive movement, stress or emotional factors. This tension may cause a number of aches and pains to back, neck, arms etc. Generally, massage is known to promote relaxation, health and wellbeing, it stimulates the flow of blood and lymph, and reduces stress and pain.
The intent of acupuncture therapy is to promote health and alleviate pain and suffering. The acupuncturist is able to influence health and sickness by stimulating certain areas along the «meridians». Traditionally these areas or «acupoints» were stimulated by fine, slender needles. For most patients, acupuncture is painless.
